RYA Motor Cruising Course September 9 – 12, 2023

Dear participant,  

We are delighted you will be joining us and look forward to meeting you in person!  

We would also like to take this opportunity to provide some information that will make your preparation for the trip much smoother!  

1) One week before the course start...  

We will contact you and provide details about the exact location of the boat in Nea Peramos and the estimated time of departure. 

2) On the start date of your course...  

a) You will meet with your instructor and, after a quick briefing, you will be ready to depart!  

b) Things you should have with you:  

Apart from your good mood, you should also not forget to bring:

• Sun hat or cap to protect your face and eyes from the strong Mediterranean sun
• Sunglasses with polarized lenses to reduce glare on the water
• Lightweight, breathable long-sleeved shirts to protect your skin from the sun and wind
• Waterproof windbreaker or light jacket  to protect you from occasional rain and wind
• Non-slip boat shoes or sandals with good grip to avoid slipping on the wet deck
• Sunscreen with high SPF to protect your skin from the strong UV rays
• Light-weight cotton or linen pants and sweatshirts for when it gets cooler in the evening

Important: If you are taking any medication for health issues you might be experiencing, please don’t forget to bring some spare onboard and inform us in the Booking Form.  

c) You should have an ID-sized photo for your certificate, if everything goes well during the course. Without the photo, we will not be able to issue a certificate directly after the course, meaning that you will receive it with delay.
