About the course The RYA Powerboat Level 2 Handling course is a two-day course designed to teach participants the skills and techniques needed to handle a powerboat safely and efficiently. This course is suitable for individuals with little or no previous powerboating experience, as well as those who have some experience but wish to improve their skills. Syllabus Throughout the course, participants will learn a range of topics including launching and recovery, boat handling at slow and high speeds, man overboard recovery, and collision regulations. Participants will also learn about basic navigation, chart reading, and passage planning, which are essential skills for anyone operating a powerboat. - Area of training: Off and inside Tzitzifies Marina (Kallithea, Athens). - Max. 4 participants - Training vessel: Tornado 6.40 m with jokey seats and with a Evinrude E-Tec 250hp - Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a RYA Level 2 Powerboat Handling Certificate, which allows you to operate small motorboats (e.g. inflatables or RIBS) of up to 10-12m in length with outboard engines. This internationally respected certificate is valid for speedboat operation in Greece, as well as in many other countries of the world. It also allows holders to apply for a UK International Certificate of Competence issued by the RYA - eligibility requirements regarding nationality apply.
