RYA Coastal Skipper Practical Course
The RYA Coastal Skipper course offered by our school is a comprehensive and intensive experience. It will teach you the essential skills needed to skipper a sailing yacht on short coastal passages by day and night. You will learn the techniques required to plan, prepare, and execute navigational passages as well as gaining an understanding of meteorology, collision regulations, stability & buoyancy, rope work, and pilotage. Additionally, we will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to handle a range of emergency situations on board a yacht. By the end of this course, you should have all the skills required to skipper a coastal passage along difficult stretches of coast.
