The RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency Course is a comprehensive, one-day practical training designed for both beginners and experienced riders. It equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge to operate personal watercraft (PWCs), commonly known as jet skis, safely and responsibly.

· Launching & Recovery: Techniques for safely launching and recovering the PWC from the shore.
· Handling Skills: Low and high-speed manoeuvres to gain control and confidence.
· Collision Avoidance: Understanding the rules of the road and how to prevent accidents.
· Navigation Basics: Introduction to reading charts and understanding buoyage.
· Safety Protocols: Use of safety equipment, including kill cords and life jackets.
· Emergency Procedures: What to do in case of capsizing or other emergencies.
· PW Aftercare: Basic maintenance and care for your PWC.
+Onboard Training for Superyachts:
For superyachts operating in waters where permanent jet-ski licenses are required for guests operating the yacht’s PW, we can deliver the RYA PWC Proficiency Course onboard, prior to the start of the charter.
Successful completion of this course provides guests with a jet-ski licence, valid not only for the duration of the charter but also for future use worldwide.
